"Business is not about you, what you want, or how fast you want it. It's about customers: what they need, and when they need it." -Steve Tobak

Last weekend, our team headed to Dallas for the RISE conference with Rachel Hollis which was an experience that left us all feeling like we are ready to tackle some big goals. More on that next week, but today I wanted to tell you about the awesomeness that was our first-ever CCB Customer Meet Up on Sunday.

When you're building a massive business that's predominantly online, the way you build relationships with customers is a little bit different since so much of our communication is virtual. Y'all, we LOVE our customers and more than that, we love that these women have formed friendships through our VIP Facebook Group which if you're not part of that, what are you waiting for, girlfriend? That group is filled with the most inspiring, uplifting women that share the way they've styled their favorite CCB outfits, give fit details, and so much more. Many of these women have become real life friends which is so cool.

At CCB, we work to be intentional with our customer relationships and being able to meet some of these women face-to-face was icing on this sweet cake we're making. The event was hosted at STIRR, complete with mimosas and stuffed french toast. Lushra created a beautiful balloon display for us and the afternoon was filled with great conversation.

I had the chance to chat in depth with Megan who's been shopping CCB for a few years now. Her husband had cancer around the same age that Chad did and through faith and God's grace, he is now in remission. The part of Megan's story that she shared with me was the adoption of their 18-month-old daughter. They weren't sure they'd be able to have anymore children due to her husband's chemotherapy treatments, and this little girl practically fell into their laps. The birth mother delivered about 3 weeks after Megan and her husband decided to adopt this baby. I mean, can you even imagine? One minute they've decided to adopt, and the next they baby is here! God is good and funny, but their adoption process went so well that it was just meant to be. They are a beautiful family of 5 and I so much enjoyed chatting with her since adoption is something that's on my heart.

Something we learned at RISE is that we all have a story that includes a past, a present, and a future. It takes communities of women like this to help build us up when we fall, to be there when our children need an aunt to love on them, to celebrate the good in our lives because we get to live another day. When we take the time to get to know our customers and their stories, amazing things happen.

To those of you that shop with us daily, weekly, monthly, we are so thankful for you. Thank you for helping us make a difference in the various charities that CCB donates to, thank you for allowing us to give you styles that help you feel good while you're living your best life. Until next time...
